Website Terms of Use
Last updated 2 October 2026
These terms cover using our website, warp.net.au. Use it to find out about WARP Internet, check your address and sign up. Please don’t attack it or copy it. The address check is a guide, and only the check we run when you order confirms what your address can get. Your broadband service itself is covered by our Customer Terms.
01Who we are
warp.net.au is run by The IT Dept Pty Ltd (ABN 12 665 405 505), which trades as WARP Internet. “We”, “us” and “our” mean The IT Dept Pty Ltd. By using the website, you agree to these terms.
If you order a service or sign in to the portal, our Customer Terms also apply. If these website terms and the Customer Terms say different things about your service, the Customer Terms win.
02Using the website
You’re welcome to use the website for any lawful purpose. Please don’t:
- try to get into parts of the site, the portal or our systems that you’re not authorised to use, or into anyone else’s account;
- attack, overload or disrupt the site, including with automated requests at a volume that affects other visitors;
- scrape or bulk-harvest the site’s content, or use the address check to build a database of addresses;
- upload anything malicious, or use the site to break the law or harm anyone; or
- give false details when you sign up, or sign up in someone else’s name without their authority.
If you do, we may block your access to the site. If you have a service with us, our Acceptable Use Policy may also apply.
03Accuracy of information
We work to keep everything on the site accurate and up to date, including plans, prices and speeds. Prices on the site include GST. The authoritative details for each plan are in its Critical Information Summary.
General information on the site, such as setup guides and explanations of how nbn works, is there to help. It isn’t advice tailored to your situation. If you need help with your own setup, contact us.
If a price or plan detail is shown wrongly because of an obvious mistake, we’ll tell you as soon as we notice, and before any invoice at a different price. You can then continue at the correct price or cancel, and if you cancel we refund anything you’ve paid in full.
04Address checks are a guide
The address check on the website uses nbn’s information about your address. It tells you what technology your address is likely to use and which of our plans are likely to be available. It’s indicative only.
When you order, we run a formal service qualification with nbn. That’s what confirms whether we can connect you, on which plans, and whether any work or pass-through charge applies. If it shows something different from the website check, we’ll tell you before going ahead. If we can’t connect you, we refund your first-month payment in full.
05Availability of the website
We aim to keep the website and portal available at all times, but we can’t promise they’ll never be down. We may take them offline for maintenance, and we may change or remove parts of the site. If the portal is unavailable when you need it, contact us on 02 4398 7081 or at hello@warp.net.au and we’ll do what you need for you, including cancelling a service.
06Our content and trade marks
The text, design, graphics, logos and code on the site belong to us or the people who licensed them to us. The WARP Internet name and logo are ours. You can view, print and share pages from the site for your own personal, non-commercial use, and link to any page. Please don’t copy, republish or adapt the content for anything else without our written permission.
nbn and related marks are trade marks of NBN Co Limited. Other trade marks on the site belong to their owners.
07Links to other websites
The site links to other websites, such as nbn, the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman, government regulators and router manufacturers. We link to them because they’re useful, but we don’t control them and aren’t responsible for their content, their availability or how they handle your information.
08Reporting a security problem
If you find a security vulnerability in the website or the portal, please email hello@warp.net.au with the details and give us a reasonable time to fix it before you tell anyone else. We won’t take action against good-faith research that follows this approach, stays within what’s needed to show the problem, doesn’t access or change other people’s information, and doesn’t disrupt the site.
09Our responsibility
Using the website is free. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any right or guarantee you have under the Australian Consumer Law, or any other law that can’t be excluded. That includes the guarantees that apply to services we supply to you.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for our fraud or wilful misconduct. Apart from those things, and to the extent the law allows, we’re not responsible for loss caused by your use of the free information on the website, by the site being unavailable, or by another website we link to.
10Privacy and cookies
We handle any personal information you give us through the website as our Privacy Policy describes. The site only uses cookies that are strictly necessary for it to work, such as keeping you signed in to the portal. When you enter card details, Stripe’s card form may set its own cookies to detect fraud. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.
11Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page, with the date at the top, is the one that applies. Changes to the terms of your broadband service are handled under our Customer Terms, with at least 30 days’ notice for anything that could disadvantage you.
12Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, and the courts of New South Wales and the Commonwealth of Australia can hear disputes about them. This doesn’t stop you using any consumer protection law or tribunal available where you live.
Questions about the website? Email hello@warp.net.au or call 02 4398 7081. If something has gone wrong, our complaints process explains what we do about it.
